The concept of World Art underpins everything which we do. Through our education and research projects, we aim to:

• foster greater knowledge and understanding of objects
• encourage sensitivity to cultural difference
• stimulate enjoyment in looking and seeing
• enable people to express their thoughts and share points of view
• stimulate reflection, imagination and creativity
• inspire making, research and thinking

Wherever possible, we work collaboratively with teachers, artists, volunteers and other specialists to design sessions and events appropriate to the needs of a specific group. We try always to be guided, particularly, by young people’s interests and enthusiasms, allowing them to take the lead wherever possible.
